This page is intended to assist new bowlers in familiarising themselves with the bowls equipment required, and a little about how the club operates.
Match Dress Code
The table below gives a general guide on what to wear but always check the notice board for a particular match you are participating in. In the annual fixture list the Dress (or DR) column refers to trouser/skirt colour not that of the shirt/top. The notice board will specify colours for both shirts/tops and trousers/skirts.

Match Selection
The club encourages new members to put their name down on the availability sheets for matches as early as possible after joining; it helps them to gain experience and understanding of the game, and to meet other club members who will be happy to provide advice and pass on their experience.
The majority of availability sheets will be found in the pavilion, this includes men’s veteran availability sheets.
Teams are selected on Tuesday evening, so enter your name on the availability sheet by Monday evening and check the selection sheets as soon as possible after Tuesday – they will be located in the Pavilion. If selected to play or as a reserve, please tick your name on one of the sheets. If unable to play please advise the match captain ASAP. Reserves should turn up on match day in case they are required to play; all selected members need to report to the match captain at least 15 minutes before the agreed meeting time.
